Both weather and time are major agents of change along the trail that winds through the archaeological site. Members of the Friends and staff at the Forest Service keep a close eye on changes around the trail. In addition, the Exhibit Committee, with funding from the Scenic By-Ways grant, is working on new and improved signage for the site. Recently, a crew measured and marked the KIVA area so that it more easily identified from the trail. Grass seeds were sowed to keep the affects of water draining through the site to a minimum.
