Junior Archaeologist Program

The Sandia District Ranger Station and the Friends of Tijeras Pueblo host a very special program for young people interested in archaeology.  Bring your kids to the Ranger Station and pick up a special worksheet at the front desk.   Have your children complete the worksheet as they take the self-guided tour of the Tijeras Pueblo archaeological site.  When you finish the tour, come on back inside and have the folks at the front desk check your answers.  HEY KIDS - your special efforts will earn you a great Junior Archaeologist badge and certificate.

We also host an Archaeology Day as we give a special tours of the Tijeras Pueblo archaeological site.  Enjoy interesting projects and programs specially prepared to peak your interest in the science of archaeology.  Check our website often for the date of our next Archaeology Day and contact us to register for a fun-filled and fascinating day-long program.
