Archaeology Summer Camp for Kids
Young folks who are ages 10 - 14 years old can join us for our Summer Archaeology Camp, sponsored by the Friends of Tijeras Pueblo. The summer camp will be held from July 21st to 25th and runs from 9AM to Noon each day .
Spend a week outdoors with professional and avocational archaeologists learning excavation and survey methods, local history and how to record sites and artifacts. Parents are also invited to attend.
Camp is held at the Tijeras Pueblo Site and Museum which is located behind the Sandia District Ranger Station on State Road 337 in Tijeras. Camp is limited to 20 students and registration closes on July 1st. A donation of $100 is requested for each student.
